Our values – our values are at the heart and soul of our business, they represent what we stand for and underpin everything we do. We apply our values in our working lives through our interactions with each other, our customers, suppliers and the broader community.

Nutritional value – we are committed to enhancing the nutritional value of our cakes and desserts by using the finest and freshest ingredients. A balanced diet and regular physical activity are essential to a healthy lifestyle and overall personal wellness. At Ribbons and Bows Cakes, we believe that there is no such thing as intrinsically good or bad foods and that all foods can be enjoyed within a healthy and balanced diet. Therefore, it isn’t just about nutrients. Variety, flavours, texture and colour are all elements of good food to be enjoyed daily.

CUSTOMERS

We want our customers to fall in love with our cakes and desserts. Our objective is to delight and excite our customers (and their customers) when they see and taste our gourmet treats.

We place our customers first and provide the highest quality in every product that we make. We aim to give our customers the best possible experience with our products and service.

We have a long history of supplying the hospitality and food market including airline caterers, gourmet supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, entertainment venues, food service operators and catering groups in Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane.

Within our classic bake house we have invested in state of the art production equipment which allows us to continue producing handcrafted products at high volumes to support a range of customers.

We also have an online shop which allows us to showcase our gourmet products to a much wider market, enabling the public (including people from overseas) to order our products for delivery to family and friends directly to their homes and businesses throughout the Melbourne metropolitan area.

We work closely with corporate and event caterers to produce customised products for business events and social functions, including promotional events.

People are at the centre of what we do and without our incredible team, Ribbons and Bows Cakes wouldn’t be where it is today as your best cake shop! Our people are the key to our success and reputation. Our people are passionate about producing amazing products  and providing a great customer experience. The quality of our products is due to the creativity and abilities of our talented team of pastry chefs and bakers.

We recognise and reward our people for living our values. We have in place a rewards program to recognise outstanding performance and behaviours which are consistent with our values – how we achieve is just as important as what we achieve. Our people are supported through  on the job tools, ongoing feedback and coaching to develop themselves to their full potential. We take personal responsibility, work as a team, inspire and support each other and celebrate achievements together.

OUR SUPPLIERS

At Ribbons and Bows Cakes, our ongoing commitment to quality means selecting the finest and freshest ingredients and applying environmentally sustainable production practices. We continue to build responsible practices into our sourcing and supply chain. Wherever we can, we choose to use ingredients and production methods which help to reduce the impact on our environment.

We carefully select suppliers who share similar values on quality and sustainability and have a strong focus on responsible practices, human rights and reducing environmental impact.

At Ribbons and Bows Cakes, we recognise the importance of healthy eating and balanced diets. We are on a continuous journey to enhance the nutritional value of our cakes and desserts. We are committed to sourcing free range egg products and farm fresh dairy products and avoiding the use of preservatives, artificial flavours and colours in our products.

As part of our ongoing commitment to helping protect the environment, we seek to use energy efficient technology and equipment, optimise our packaging designs, use sustainable packaging and increase our recycled packaging materials.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

At Ribbons and Bows Cakes, we believe in being part of our community and supporting our community whenever we can. We are proud of the work that we do to support the communities in which we work and live.

We support local business partners. Where possible, we purchase products and services from local suppliers and contractors.

We are a proud supporter of many sporting, cultural, social, educational and fundraising events and charities. We assist various organisations with product donations and financial contributions. As you can imagine, due to the nature of our business we receive a large number of donation requests, but unfortunately we are unable to accommodate every request.
