Where possible we avoid the use of preservatives in our products. If we add a preservative to any of our products to keep them fresh longer we will include this in the list of ingredients and these can be provided on request.
No we do not add any artificial colours or flavours in our products.
Our product labels include a best before date. “Best before” is the recommended shelf life of the product – it indicates when the product should be eaten by to ensure that it is fresh. It can still be consumed within a short time after this date but it will not be fresh. “Used by” means that a product must be eaten on or by that date for health safety reasons. It cannot be consumed after this date.
The ingredients in our flourless cakes are 100% gluten free. We also take all practical precautions to ensure that there is no cross-contamination from our cakes which include gluten.
Please note that as with all bakeries which use flour in production, there is a risk (although very unlikely) of cross contamination so that traces of flour may end up in flourless cakes.
Again, this is very unlikely, but technically possible. For this reason, we prefer to call our cakes “flourless” rather than “gluten free”.
Unfortunately none of our products are 100% free from tree nuts or peanuts. Our allergen warning “may contain tree nuts or peanuts” informs you that the product may contain traces of tree nuts or peanuts because they are produced in the same factory as products which use tree nuts and peanuts.
Therefore, there is a potential for cross contamination.
We use dairy products such as butter, cream, cheese and milk in many of our products. Unfortunately, we do not have products which are suitable for people with lactose intolerance.
Many of our products contain eggs or egg by-products.
Currently, we do not offer any sugar free products.
All our cakes and desserts are delivered chilled. Our cakes and desserts should be kept refrigerated at below 5 degrees Celsius.
All our cakes are baked fresh daily and are labelled with a best before date. We need to keep some products in stock to meet high demand, but we turnover all of our products within a very short time.
Many of our cakes are Halal certified. Please contact us here to confirm if the product that you are interested in is Halal Certified.
